Greenwich Cardinals (Greenwich, CT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT), 88-82 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greenwich upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT) to play the Hilltoppers in a Fairfield County bout on Friday, January 20. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Bridgeport Central won 63-50 in their recent league bout against Westhill (Stamford, CT)

Next up, the Bears play the Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT) in a Fairfield County bout, on Friday, January 20. Norwalk will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 54-53 league win over Trumbull (Trumbull, CT).
