The Howard Tigers basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Hanson Beavers to 47 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bridgewater/Emery for a B Region 3 contest on Thursday, January 19. Howard will battle a Huskies team coming off a 60-57 non-league win over Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD). The Huskies record now stands at 6-3.

The Beavers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Canistota (Canistota, SD). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Canistota prevailed over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD), 45-32, in a non-league contest.
