Jefferson County North Chargers (Winchester, KS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jefferson West Tigers (Meriden, KS), 50-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson County North upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS) to play the Kaws in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Kaws come into the bout with a record of 9-3. Perry-Lecompton won 72-37 in their recent non-league bout against Rossville (Rossville, KS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Atchison Phoenix (Atchison, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Jefferson West will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
