The West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates (Princeton Junction, NJ) basketball nipped the host Lawrence Cardinals (Lawrenceville, NJ), 45-44 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pirates (8-5) will now prepare for their test against New Brunswick (New Brunswick, NJ). The Zebra go into the non-league test with a 1-12 record. In their last test, New Brunswick was tipped by North Brunswick (North Brunswick, NJ), 72-34, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Nottingham for a Colonial Valley test on Friday, January 20. Lawrence will encounter a Northstars squad coming off a 75-67 league win over Notre Dame (Lawrenceville, NJ). The Northstars record now stands at 7-5.
