The Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT) basketball crushed the visiting Wethersfield Eagles (Wethersfield, CT), 61-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Vinal RVT (Middletown, CT). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Vinal RVT was trounced by Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT), 84-57, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Farmington for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Wethersfield will encounter a River Hawks squad coming off a 50-44 non-league win over Newington (Newington, CT). The River Hawks record now stands at 7-3.
