Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Webster County Trojans (Dixon, KY), 89-79 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lyon County upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Lyons host Trigg County (Cadiz, KY) to play the Wildcats in a District 5 bout on Friday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Trojans play the Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY) in a District 6 bout, on Friday, January 20. Webster County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
