Ohio High School Basketball - Southeast thwarted by Marlington

The Southeast Pirates basketball team (Ravenna, OH), was toppled 72-52 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH)

The Dukes now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Branch for a Eastern Buckeye battle on Friday, January 20. Marlington will confront a Warriors team coming off a 52-41 league win over Minerva (Minerva, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 6-5.

The Pirates (4-8) will now prepare for their outing against John F. Kennedy Catholic (Warren, OH). The Eagles go into the Portage Trail outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, John F. Kennedy Catholic was beaten by Ursuline (Youngstown, OH), 88-60, in a non-league outing.
