Menomonie Mustangs (Menomonie, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sparta Spartans (Sparta, WI), 62-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Menomonie upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Hudson (Hudson, WI) to clash with the Raiders in a Big Rivers bout on Friday, January 20. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Hudson lost 52-47 in their recent non-league bout against Tartan (Oakdale, MN)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Holmen Vikings (Holmen, WI) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Friday, January 20. Sparta will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
