Minnesota High School Basketball - Mesabi East can't hold off Nashwauk-Keewatin

The Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Mesabi East Giants to 57 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherry for a A Section 7 contest on Friday, January 20. Nashwauk-Keewatin will battle a Tigers team coming off a 73-65 league win over Mountain Iron-Buhl (Mountain Iron, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 9-3.
The Giants (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against International Falls (International Falls, MN). The Broncos enter the AA Section 7 contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, International Falls was nudged by Warroad (Warroad, MN), 101-44, in a non-league contest.
