North Douglas (Drain, OR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR), 71-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Douglas upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The host Powers (Powers, OR) to play the Cruisers in a 1A Skyline bout on Friday, January 20. The Cruisers come into the bout with a record of 3-7. Powers won 40-39 in their recent non-league bout against Milo Adventist Academy (Days Creek, OR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Alsea Wolverines (Alsea, OR) in a 1A Mountain West bout, on Thursday, January 19. Mohawk will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 53-39 non-league loss to Elkton (Elkton, OR).
