Ohio County Eagles (Hartford, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Owensboro Catholic Aces (Owensboro, KY), 72-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ohio County upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to McLean County (Calhoun, KY) to clash with the Cougars in a District 10 bout on Friday, January 20. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-4. McLean County won 58-56 in their recent non-league bout against Edmonson County (Brownsville, KY)

Next up, the Aces clash with the Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) in a District 9 bout, on Friday, January 20. Owensboro Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 64-50 non-league loss to Breckinridge County (Harned, KY).
