The Pomperaug Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Stratford Red Devils to 45 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foran for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 18. Pomperaug will battle a Lions team coming off a 46-42 non-league win over Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT). The Lions record now stands at 3-6.

The Red Devils (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Immaculate (Danbury, CT). The Mustangs come into the Southwest contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Immaculate dropped by Newtown (Newtown, CT), 56-42, in a league contest.
