The Portales Rams (Portales, NM) basketball felled the host Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM), 73-60 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Rams (11-7) will now prepare for their test against New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM). The Colts go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, New Mexico Military Institute was beaten by Tularosa (Tularosa, NM), 40-34, in a non-league test.
The Wolverines now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Sumner/House for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Texico will encounter a squad coming off a 63-53 league win over Melrose (Melrose, NM). The record now stands at 15-2.
