The Vestaburg Wolverines basketball team (Vestaburg, MI), was toppled 54-45 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI)
The Bluejays now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gladwin for a Jack Pine battle on Friday, January 20. Shepherd will confront a Flying G's team coming off a 60-55 non-league loss to Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI). The Flying G's record now stands at 5-4.
The Wolverines (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Montabella (Blanchard, MI). The Mustangs come into the Mid-State battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Montabella beat Merrill (Merrill, MI), 76-39, in a league battle.
