The St. Paul Central Minutemen (St. Paul, MN) basketball knocked off the host Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN), 77-60 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Minutemen (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Washington Tech (St. Paul, MN). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Washington Tech notched a victory over Math & Science Academy (Woodbury, MN), 64-58, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to South St. Paul for a AAA Section 3 test on Friday, January 20. Simley will encounter a Packers squad coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Tartan (Oakdale, MN). The Packers record now stands at 8-3.
