With the victory, Southside improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to confront the Golden Tors in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Golden Tors come into the challenge with a record of 15-7. Sulphur lost 41-40 in their recent league challenge against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA)

Next up, the Buccaneers confront the Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Barbe will attempt to improve on its 16-4 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 79-55 non-league win over Oak Hill (Hineston, LA).
