Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN), 41-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bellmont upgrades its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Huntington North (Huntington, IN) to play the Vikings in a Northeast 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 14-3. Huntington North lost 41-39 in their recent league bout against Columbia City (Columbia City, IN)

Next up, the Railroaders play the West Noble Chargers (Ligonier, IN) in a Northeast Corner bout, on Friday, January 20. Garrett will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 56-37 league loss to Eastside (Butler, IN).
