Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bethel Wildcats (Bethel, CT), 39-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brookfield upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Bunnell (Stratford, CT) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Bunnell lost 54-16 in their recent league bout against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot bout, on Friday, January 20. Bethel will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 44-36 non-league win over Joel Barlow (Redding, CT).
