New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT), 54-16 in a league bout.

With the win, New Fairfield upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Rebels travel to Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT) to play the Lancers in a Southwest - Patriot bout on Friday, January 20. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Notre Dame Catholic lost 37-32 in their recent non-league bout against Masuk (Monroe, CT)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Bunnell will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 39-36 league win over Bethel (Bethel, CT).
