Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA), 59-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA) to play the Jaguars in a AAAA Region 8B bout on Friday, January 20. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Cedar Shoals won 51-41 in their recent league bout against East Hall (Gainesville, GA)

Next up, the Bears play the Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA) in a AAAA Region 8A bout, on Friday, January 20. Cherokee Bluff will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 33-26 league win over Seckinger (Buford, GA).
