The Jones County Coyotes basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Colome Cowboys to 17 in the Coyotes league victory on Tuesday.
The Coyotes now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kadoka for a B Region 7 contest on Friday, January 20. Jones County will battle a Kougars team coming off a 53-48 non-league win over Newell (Newell, SD). The Kougars record now stands at 9-2.
The Cowboys (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD). The Nighthawks come into the B Region 5 contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Tripp-Delmont/Armour triumphed over Mitchell Christian (Mitchell, SD), 40-30, in a non-league contest.
