In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Doyle Tigers (Livingston, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), by a margin of 52-49.
The Tigers (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against Collegiate (Baton Rouge, LA). The go into the 3A District 6 outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, Collegiate was tipped by Ursuline Academy (New Orleans, LA), 48-24, in a non-league outing.
The Griffins now own a 17-5 record. They play next when they host French Settlement for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 19. Dutchtown will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 58-28 non-league loss to Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA). The Lions record now stands at 9-5.
