The Howard Tigers (Howard, SD) basketball nipped the visiting Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD), 58-55 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD). The Huskies go into the B Region 3 test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Bridgewater/Emery was tipped by Kimball/White Lake (Kimball, SD), 46-43, in a non-league test.
The Beavers now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Canistota for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Hanson will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 35-30 non-league win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD). The Hawks record now stands at 2-7.
