Iowa High School Basketball - Hempstead ripped by Jefferson

The Jefferson Hawks basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Hempstead Mustangs to 44 in the Hawks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a Mississippi Valley contest on Friday, January 20. Jefferson will battle a Warriors team coming off a 74-35 league loss to Wahlert (Dubuque, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-18.
The Mustangs (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Warriors enter the Mississippi Valley contest with a 5-18 record.
