Jackson-Reed Tigers (Washington, DC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering Panthers (Washington, DC), 1-0 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jackson-Reed upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Archbishop Carroll lost 50-38 in their recent non-league bout against Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bell Griffins (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA bout, on Monday, January 30. Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
