In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Lake Region Lakers basketball team scored a decisive 56-29 triumph over the Waynflete Flyers.
In their next game, the Lakers meet the Greely Rangers (Cumberland Center, ME) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 20. Lake Region will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Rangers enter the match with a 6-4 record after their 44-29 non-league win over Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME).
With the defeat, Waynflete moves to 2-8 on the year. The Flyers host Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME) to meet the Seahawks in a C South match on Saturday, January 28. The Seahawks enter the match with a record of 1-6.
