South Dakota High School Basketball - Redfield knocked off by Mt. Vernon/Plankinton

The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Redfield Pheasants to 35 in the Titans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Titans now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kimball/White Lake for a A Region 5 contest on Friday, January 20. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will battle a Wildkats team coming off a 46-43 non-league win over Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD). The Wildkats record now stands at 5-3.

The Pheasants (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hamlin (Hayti, SD). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Hamlin ran past DeSmet (DeSmet, SD), 64-35, in a non-league contest.
