In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA), by a count of 39-37.
The Tigers (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Grant (Dry Prong, LA). The Cougars go into the 4A District 2 outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Grant was tipped by Tioga (Tioga, LA), 50-29, in a league outing.
The Rebels now hold a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Ouachita Parish for a 5A District 2 outing on Friday, January 20.
