Nebraska High School Basketball - Northwest nips North Platte

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE) and the host North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE), saw Northwest's basketball squad hold off North Platte by a tally of 33-27.

With the victory, Northwest improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Grand Island Central Catholic won 58-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Wood River (Wood River, NE)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the McCook Bison (McCook, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. North Platte will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 45-10 league win over Lexington (Lexington, NE).
