In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD), by a count of 74-27.
The Panthers (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals go into the VISAA Division I outing with a 12-6 record. In their last outing, Bishop Ireton smashed St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD), 79-72, in a non-league outing.
The Tartans now hold a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to St. John's for a DCSAA outing on Friday, January 20. The Academy of the Holy Cross will clash with a Cadets squad coming off a 59-50 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Cadets record now stands at 12-6.
