Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA), 74-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Wahlert upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA) to play the Irish in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Irish go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Prince of Peace Prep lost 58-38 in their recent league bout against Midland (Wyoming, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Friday, January 20. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 72-44 league win over Hempstead (Dubuque, IA).
