Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Atchison County Tigers (Effingham, KS), 81-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Perry-Lecompton upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Kaws host Valley Falls (Valley Falls, KS) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Valley Falls won 56-48 in their recent non-league bout against Jefferson West (Meriden, KS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Jefferson County North Chargers (Winchester, KS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Atchison County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 46-39 non-league win over St. Mary's Academy (St. Marys, KS).
