West Hardin Oilers (Saratoga, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Big Sandy Wildcats (Dallardsville, TX), 57-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Hardin upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Oilers host Deweyville (Deweyville, TX) to play the Pirates in a 2A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 19. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Evadale Rebels (Evadale, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, January 26. Big Sandy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
