Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Norwich RVT Warriors (Norwich, CT), 58-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coventry upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Patriots travel to Granby Memorial (Granby, CT) to play the Bears in a North Central Connecticut bout on Friday, January 19. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Granby Memorial lost 60-41 in their recent non-league bout against Farmington (Farmington, CT)

Next up, the Warriors play the Old Saybrook Rams (Old Saybrook, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Norwich RVT will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 61-50 league loss to Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT).
