Connecticut High School Basketball - Darien tipped by Stamford

In Wednesday's league match, the host Stamford Black Knights basketball team scored a tight 63-59 triumph over the Darien Blue Wave.

In their next game, the Black Knights meet the Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) in a Fairfield County match, on Friday, January 19. Stamford will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Wreckers enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 78-71 league loss to Norwalk (Norwalk, CT).

With the defeat, Darien moves to 3-6 on the year. The Blue wave travel to St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT) to meet the Cadets in a Fairfield County match on Friday, January 19. The Cadets enter the match with a record of 4-4. St. Joseph lost 71-43 in their recent league match against Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT)
