The Pattonville Pirates (Maryland Heights, MO) basketball knocked off the visiting Hazelwood West Wildcats (Hazelwood, MO), 50-32 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Pirates (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Mehlville (St. Louis, MO). The Panthers go into the Freelance test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Mehlville notched a victory over Parkway South (Manchester, MO), 61-47, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Whitfield for a non-league test on Thursday, January 18. Hazelwood West will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 80-63 non-league loss to Fort Zumwalt West (O'Fallon, MO). The Warriors record now stands at 5-7.
