The Messmer Bishops basketball team (Milwaukee, WI), was overwhelmed 112-78 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Lake Country Lutheran Lightning (Hartland, WI)
The Lightning now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Luther Prep for a Midwest Classic battle on Friday, January 19. Lake Country Lutheran will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 67-43 non-league win over St. John's Northwestern Military Academy (Delafield, WI). The Phoenix record now stands at 6-3.
The Bishops (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Brookfield Academy (Brookfield, WI). The Blue Knights come into the Midwest Classic battle with a 12-1 record.
