The Long Branch Green Wave basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls to 53 in the Green Wave non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Green Wave now sport a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freehold Boro for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Long Branch will battle a Colonials team coming off a 88-23 non-league win over Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ). The Colonials record now stands at 9-3.

The Garnet Gulls (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ). The Bucs come into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record.
