Pennsylvania High School Basketball - George School can't hold off Academy of the New Church

The Academy of the New Church Lions basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host George School Cougars to 43 in the Lions league victory on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westtown for a Friends Schools contest on Friday, January 19. Academy of the New Church will battle a team coming off a 74-48 non-league win over McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD). The record now stands at 9-2.
The Cougars (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Friends Select (Philadelphia, PA). The come into the Friends Schools contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Friends Select was nudged by Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, PA), 61-18, in a league contest.
