East Longmeadow Spartans (East Longmeadow, MA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chicopee Pacers (Chicopee, MA), 45-41 in a league bout.

With the win, East Longmeadow upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Spartans host Pittsfield (Pittsfield, MA) to play the Generals in a Valley Wheel bout on Friday, January 19. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Pittsfield won 56-46 in their recent league bout against Chicopee Comp (Chicopee, MA)

Next up, the Pacers play the Westfield Bombers (Westfield, MA) in a Valley Wheel bout, on Thursday, January 18. Chicopee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
