Virginia High School Basketball - Churchland topped by Granby

The Granby Comets basketball team scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Churchland Truckers to 22 in the Comets league victory on Wednesday.
The Comets now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Taylor for a Eastern contest on Friday, January 19. Granby will battle a Titans team coming off a 72-51 league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA). The Titans record now stands at 9-3.
The Truckers (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs come into the Eastern contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Manor prevailed over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA), 65-44, in a league contest.
