In Wednesday's league outing, the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) basketball squad beat the visiting Classical Purples (Providence, RI), by a count of 58-49.
The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Scituate (North Scituate, RI). The Spartans go into the Division 1 outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Scituate was topped by St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI), 63-36, in a league outing.
The Purples now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to East Providence for a Division 1 outing on Saturday, January 20. Classical will clash with a Townies squad coming off a 52-27 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Townies record now stands at 2-9.
