Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lakeview Honkers (Lakeview, OR), 42-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Glide upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to North Valley (Grants Pass, OR) to play the Knights in a 3A Far West bout on Friday, January 19. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 11-3. North Valley won 34-27 in their recent league bout against Lakeview (Lakeview, OR)

Next up, the Honkers play the South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) in a 3A Far West bout, on Friday, January 19. Lakeview will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 62-15 league loss to Cascade Christian (Medford, OR).
