Virginia High School Basketball - The Covenant winner over Hopewell

January 17, 2024: Hopewell, VA 23860

The The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) basketball felled the host Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA), 50-40 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Western Albemarle thwarted Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 64-27, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Prince George for a Central test on Thursday, January 18. Hopewell will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 60-38 league loss to Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Royals record now stands at 3-9.
