Miller Grove Wolverines (Lithonia, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Stone Mountain Pirates (Stone Mountain, GA), 31-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Miller Grove upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Clarkston (Clarkston, GA) to play the Angoras in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Angoras go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Clarkston won 31-9 in their recent non-league bout against Towers (Decatur, GA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Chamblee Bulldogs (Chamblee, GA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Stone Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 45-40 league loss to Arabia Mountain (Lithonia, GA).
