Nebraska High School Basketball - Archangels Catholic knocks off Clarkson/Leigh

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Archangels Catholic Defenders (Humphrey, NE) and the host Clarkson/Leigh Patriots (Clarkson, NE), observed Archangels Catholic's basketball team overcome Clarkson/Leigh by a margin of 59-49.

The Defenders (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Heartland Lutheran (Grand Island, NE). The Red Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, Heartland Lutheran defeated Elba (Elba, NE), 59-27, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Pender Pendragons (Pender, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Clarkson/Leigh will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Pendragons come into the challenge with a 13-1 record after their 70-31 non-league win over Homer (Homer, NE).
