California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs (Riverside, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC), 43-9 in a non-league match.
With the victory, California School for the Deaf-Riverside advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Cubs travel to Maryland School for the Deaf (Frederick, MD) to face the Orioles in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Orioles enter the match with a record of 13-0. Maryland School for the Deaf won 61-32 in their recent non-league match against Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX)
The Eagles now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host BASIS for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 22. Model Secondary School for the Deaf will face a Red Giants squad coming off a 78-11 league loss to KIPP DC Legacy College Prep (Washington, DC). The Red Giants record now stands at 2-8.
