The Central Golden Eagles basketball squad (Springfield, MA), was nudged 50-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA)

With the victory, Peabody advances its record to 21-4 on the year. The Warhorses host Wossman (Monroe, LA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 16-6. Wossman lost 57-55 in their recent non-league battle against Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA)

The Golden Eagles now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northampton for a Valley battle on Tuesday, January 21. Central will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 65-49 league loss to Holyoke (Holyoke, MA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-5.
