Kansas High School Basketball - Western Plains holds off Cheylin

In Friday's league contest, the host Western Plains Bobcats basketball team scored a close 45-40 triumph over the Cheylin Cougars.
The Bobcats (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS). The Thunderhawks go into the Western Kansas Liberty contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Wheatland-Grinnell nipped Northern Valley (Almena, KS), 48-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Hi-Plains Patriots (Seibert, CO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Cheylin will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 0-10 record after their 67-16 league loss to Arickaree (Anton, CO).
