Kentucky High School Basketball - Somerset holds off Garrard County

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers basketball team scored a close 57-52 triumph over the Garrard County Golden Lions.

The Briar Jumpers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Madison Southern (Berea, KY). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 7-8 record.

In their next game, the Golden Lions confront the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Garrard County will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 2-11 record after their 90-50 non-league loss to Sayre (Lexington, KY).
